Flintlock Musket
A range of Miniature English pewter military guns mounted on plinths along with a deactivated round used in that weapon. On a wooden plinth, available on a Light Oak plinth. (ONLY)
Plaque Reads :-
Introduced at the beginning of the 17th century. The powder was ignited by
a cock tightly holding a sharp piece of flint. When the trigger was pulled, this
struck the frizzen sending sparks into the flash pan, which ignited the powder in the barrel through a flash hole. This was later replaced with a percussion cap.
