The Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) can be configured for various actions, including the AW (Arctic Warfare). Rather than a traditional wooden or polymer rifle stock, these rifles are based on an aluminium chassis which extends the entire length of the stock, with side panels made from a high-strength polymer that can be supplied in several colours for different shooting locations. The barrel is free-floating, made from heavy, stainless steel. The United States Special Operations Command uses the AICS as the Mk 13 Mod 5 rifle chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum in a 10 round detachable magazine.
